12 Days of Christmas: Day 7. Party Outfits & Pajamas
Updated: Apr 25
Holiday parties are the perfect occasion to go all out with your outfit. Wear all the sequins, wear all the sparkle, wear all the pearls. Do. It. Up.But of course, don’t wear a ball gown to your company party unless you work at the same place as Kim Kardashian. I kid, I kid, lol. Yes, go all out but also be conscious of the dress code even if there isn’t one explicitly addressed.
*Sidebar: I will link three options for each item at different price points for all types of paychecks.
We’re gonna talk about outfit inspo for a company holiday party, a family gathering, and a more glamorous party (my fave!). I’ve always wanted to go to those big parties they throw at wedding venues just to dress up over the top, lol. And lastly holiday pajamas. Matching family pajamas and a sexy one because hey why not, we all want to have a happy new year 😜!
Let’s get started.
Company Holiday Parties
Most companies host their parties early in December to get them out of the way. You’ll be surrounded by your peers and bosses and regardless of the type of environment or type of job you do, I believe you should always keep it classy, never trashy. If you’re heading to the party right from the office, a sequined top (even keep your blazer over it and wear with your trousers) and a change of shoes are perfect and not fussy. It’ll be so easy to run to the restroom and change your top. I get annoyed every time I have to change my pants to go somewhere after work. Pants take so much more energy than a top, haha. And if you’re anything like me, I need my after work outfit to be easy peasy, so I’ve forgone the accessories. Don’t worry, there’s a ton of accessories coming further below!
If you don’t have to go right after work to the party, a great option is a cocktail dress. Cocktail dresses can be very dressy but the midi length keeps the feel more casual but pairing it with a pointed heel keeps the party vibe going. It’s so ironic, when I was in my early 20’s, pointed heels gave me older women vibes. Now I think that pointed heels are so sophisticated and sexy. I just had a realization...I am an older now 😟. Wow...full circle, lol.
How does the meme go? Getting glammed to go sit with the family on the couch…or something like that. For actually sitting on the couch I chose some super cute sweaters that can be paired with your favorite jeans and boots. And if your family is a livelier bunch, a festive jumpsuit is a great alternative to a party dress.
Yay! My favorite! I love to dress up, pile on the makeup and do my hair. Sometimes getting ready can be just as fun as the actual party. Put a little music, make a little drink and contour those cheeks! For dresses, of course I went long. Accessories...dramatic. And shoes...well they’re worthy of Carrie Bradshaw.
Okay! Thigh high splits for the win!
Matching Family Pajamas
And the best for last, a little sexy something for those who have been naughty.
How do you dress for Christmas?
