My word for 2021...

Every year I make a resolution and I usually default on the resolution by February. I wanted to do something different this year and not make promises to myself that will eventually be broken, so this year I wanted to choose a word I can live by, for a lack of a better phrase.

My word is YES!

Life is ever changing but for some reason I am in a season of my life that everything seems to be evolving faster than I can keep up. My natural reaction would be to question and resist change but as we know, especially as of late, life is fleeting and we don't know that we'll be here tomorrow. So I want to be open and welcome change. I plan to say yes to a lot of things this year. I feel that I've already started to say yes to things that scare me and that I have no control over, letting go of control is a big deal for me. I want to continue to be receptive to life's curveballs because honestly 2021 has been one of the best years of my life. And that's because I have closed my eyes and just said yes. Okay, not on every single thing will I just accept blindly, LOL. But I am choosing to let the opportunities that have been presented to me guide me to where I need to be.

Like I said, life is so short and I don't want to regret or miss out on anything because of fear.

Do you have any resolutions for this year or maybe you chose a word, what's your word?!
